Best Practices: Kansas DUI Diversions


DUI Diversion

The following details the required steps in SimpleCity® to enter a DUI Diversion in order for it to be reported correctly to the state. If these steps are not performed in this order, you will have to contact the Kansas Department of Revenue (KDOR) directly to ensure the diversion is correctly reported.

Note: The upload file includes cases based on their judgment date. Your action date and judgment dates should all be the same.

  1. In Disposition Entry enter an A in the Action field to amend the offense.


  1. Enter DIV in the Amend To field on the Amend Offenses window.


  1. After you have amended the case, enter DIV in the Action field. Click on Save (F12).

  1. Enter a Plea of D and a Judgment of DV.
